a month agoThis is a beautiful family owned street side cafe type restaurant. We met the mother (chef) and her son (waiter) and enjoyed a quiet afternoon lunch with them. We had the Kafta and Kibbeh sandwiches. Both were delicious. It was a very pleasant experience. Give them a try

2 months agoHad a shish taouk and my husband had a falafel dish. Both were incredibly tasty and filling! I was impressed by the hand cut chips as well - I don’t think I’ve had home-made chips like that outside before and they are just unbeatable. Good value. The lady owner is so friendly and welcoming as well.

4 months agoWhat a star of a family-run, authentic, neighbourhood eatery! I needed my falafel fix and they made me so happy with the wonderful serve of falafels with three dips (the hummus was sooo nice), pitta and extras. They were so friendly and helpful (I squeezed-in just as the kitchen was closing) and I only wish I could visit more and try their other dishes. Thank you!

5 months agoYalla Yalla in Athens is an absolute gem for Middle Eastern cuisine. The flavors are bold, fresh, and authentic, with everything from wraps and hummus to grilled meats tasting amazing. Portions are generous, and the quality of ingredients is top-notch. The staff are friendly and welcoming, creating a lively and casual atmosphere that’s perfect for a quick bite or a relaxed meal. The restaurant has a fun, vibrant vibe that matches the energy of the food. The chef was a mom that brought home cooked tastes to it. Highly recommended for anyone looking for halal delicious, authentic Middle Eastern dishes in Athens.

5 months agoYalla Yalla is a lovely Lebanese spot in Athens. The hummus with nuts was an incredible combination — easily one of the best I’ve had. We tried both the falafel wrap and the chicken wrap, and they were absolutely delicious. The only small downside for me was the French fries inside the chicken wrap, which didn’t quite feel like the right fit. The place itself is small but very inviting, cozy, and comfortable. Definitely worth a visit!

7 months agoThis was some of the best Lebanese food that I have had anywhere. Ordered the hummus, the tabbouleh and the kibbeh. Each better than the next. The portions were so large, I couldn't finish. Barbra is super nice and attentive. Everything was so fresh and seasoned perfectly. Going back tomorrow to try other menu items. If you are in Athens and craving Lebanese food, this is the place!

7 months agoYalla Yalla is one of those quiet little gems you come across in a busy city, and from the moment I stepped in, I could feel the warmth and hospitality of the team. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, and everyone there seemed genuinely happy to help. I especially want to highlight one of the team members who stood out for her kindness and attentiveness. She offered thoughtful recommendations, took the time to explain the dishes, and made me feel completely welcome. I had mentioned that I really wanted to try the falafel, and to my surprise, she brought me three complimentary pieces. They turned out to be some of the best falafel I’ve ever had crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful inside, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with care. The hummus was equally impressive, incredibly creamy and smooth with a lovely balance of tahini and lemon. Together, the hummus and falafel were easily the highlights of my meal. I also ordered a chicken liver wrap, which was good, I will try the chicken wrap next time, generous portion perhaps in hindsight I probably overordered. Honestly, I could have just had the hummus and falafel and left completely satisfied. I also asked for the pita that came with the falafel to be warmed up, because I’ve always felt pita should be served warm to bring out its texture and flavor, and they were more than happy to do that for me. Overall, Yalla Yalla left a wonderful impression. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the team’s warmth truly made the experience special. It’s clear that the founder, who is Lebanese herself, brings authenticity and heart to the place. I wholeheartedly recommend it and genuinely wish there were more spots like this in every city small, welcoming, and full of soul.

Edited 7 months agoThe Best Hummus in Athens by far! The Fattoush is exquisite piece of art on plate and YES, it tastes as good as it looks. Well done. Great foods and customer service. I could not fault it - Fantastic Brava 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
